Drive key partnership goals within assigned health system accounts to expand adoption of Abbott Diabetes Care’s continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) portfolio.
Lead development of key account plans by gathering customer insights, identifying unmet needs, and aligning Abbott partnership solutions.
Build and maintain relationships and act as a thought partner with decision-makers across C-suite, administration, Quality, Primary Care, Endocrinology, Population Health, Health Equity, IT/EMR/EHR, Pharmacy, and other stakeholders.
Identify stakeholder needs and hypothesize solutions for diabetes management within health systems.
Develop and implement strategies and tactical plans to drive CGM awareness, create HCP access for field teams, and accelerate CGM adoption for patients.
Collaborate with cross-functional account teams and HQ stakeholders to execute strategy, workflow and technical solutions in a compliant manner.
Track and evaluate key customer metrics and adjust account strategy as needed.
Maintain current knowledge of ADC products, indications, and the diabetes disease area.
Report to the Director of Strategic Accounts; role is field-based and requires regular travel.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of experience in a customer facing field sales, sales management, or key account management role.
5+ years of experience in healthcare and/or life sciences industry.
Demonstrated track record in account planning, business planning, problem solving, and analytical skills.
Executive presence and ability to interact with senior account leadership.
Ability to develop customer-centric approaches leveraging multi-disciplinary capabilities and resources.
Ability to manage multiple, concurrent work streams across diverse functions.
Demonstrated confidence, persuasiveness, ability to motivate others and influence without formal authority.
Willingness and ability to travel, including overnight (50% - 75%).
Preferred: Advanced degree (Business or Science); experience managing national or regional health system accounts; diabetes disease area knowledge and experience promoting related products (e.g., glucose monitors, pumps).
