Define strategies to drive enrollment at clinical trial sites within assigned territory to meet enrolment targets.
Streamline the patient screening process at participating sites and support site teams to qualify trial candidates.
Establish regular touch points with site investigators and research teams to elevate trial visibility and reinforce trial enrollment.
Implement escalation plans for clinical trial sites as appropriate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure clinical site productivity.
Develop relationships with key stakeholders including cardiologists and surgeons and utilize customer networks to bridge gaps across clinics.
Gather data on patient pipeline, track enrollment progress, and identify trends in customer and research staff needs.
Facilitate clinical trial awareness activities including organizing referral meetings with general cardiologists and primary care physicians.
Utilize analytical tools to assist with referral activity planning and engage hospital public affairs to raise trial awareness via newsletters, banners, and social media.
Coordinate communication to prioritize enrollment activities and ensure excellent procedural outcomes.
Maintain up to date product and clinical trial knowledge and participate in education programs.
Work closely within the clinical study team (medical director, program/project management, commercial team) and interact significantly with investigators, research coordinators, physician assistants, and nurses.
Execute job responsibilities within corporate policies and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree required; Degree in the sciences, medicine, or similar discipline highly preferred.
Significantly experienced (6+ years) in a field-based role in the medical device industry.
Experience with both sales and clinical research (particularly field clinical affairs) is a significant plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead and/or facilitate educational programs to healthcare professionals.
Familiarity with cath lab procedures and protocol.
Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac medical procedures.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Ability to travel based on business need for 50% of the time.
Preferred: Advanced degree.
