About the role
- Develop and oversee the enterprise test strategy, plan, and schedule for multiple system releases.
- Lead test planning, execution, and reporting activities across functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Manage defect lifecycle and triage process in coordination with developers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate testing resources, environments, data sets, and tools across multiple test phases.
- Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.
- Provide oversight and guidance to automated testing efforts including CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Generate test metrics, dashboards, and executive summaries to support decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with VA stakeholders to ensure testing supports compliance with business and technical needs.
- Utilize test management tools such as ALM, JIRA, or Zephyr in a DevSecOps environment.
Requirements
- BD degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. or related field.
- 10 years of related professional experience.
- 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
- Experience testing VA financial systems or other large-scale federal ERP environments.
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Postman).
- ISTQB, CSTE, or similar software testing certifications.
- Working knowledge of Section 508 compliance and security testing practices.
- Utilize test management tools such as ALM, JIRA, or Zephyr in a DevSecOps environment.
- Provide oversight and guidance to automated testing efforts including CI/CD pipeline integration.
