Collections

• Demonstrates good customer service skills while initiating outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from customers.
• The Debt Collector negotiates account resolution and accurately inputs and documents actions within the collection systems while maintaining company performance and productivity standards.
• Maintains up-to-date customer contact information in the collections systems.
• The Debt Collector must have the ability to meet monthly goals, be a team player, excellent verbal, and written skills.
• Must be computer literate, abiding by FDCPA, HIPPA, and company regulations.
• Understand the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA)

Collections Agent

• Responsible for complex collection activities related to past due health insurance premiums and/or claims
• Follows established guidelines to collect past due insurance premiums
• Researches validity of past due and/or disputed debt
• Generates demand letters
• Prepares reports reflecting status of credit and collection activities for management review

Senior Credit & Collections Specialist

• Researches any overdue account balance that is fully or partially unpaid and follows up by mail and/or phone to insurance carriers or customers on delinquent payments.
• Reviews unpaid and underpaid claims.
• Resubmits or appeals as necessary.
• Verifies payment information adjustments to supervisor.
• Coordinates collection activities for delinquent accounts by preparing information for external collection agencies or attorneys.
• Complies with the Fair Debt Collector Practices Act (FDCPA).
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding account status.
• Researches customer’s accounts thoroughly and documents appropriately.
• Resolves discrepancies and prepares adjustments and refunds as necessary.
• Ensures that all information regarding collection activity of account is entered accurately into the billing system.
• Brings recurring issues to the attention of the department supervisor.
• Initiates payments and resubmits bills as necessary.
• Pursues patient for payment obligations when insurance defaults as permitted by law or contractual relationships.
• Report to work punctually at assigned starting time, and have reliable, consistent attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Analyze large engagements and aged WIP balances for timely billing
• Develop and implement record-keeping systems, forms, policies, and procedures
• Identify and resolve problems and inconsistencies, suggesting corrective procedures
• Communicate and coordinate accounting policies with managers, vendors, clients, and the public
• Adhere to all collection policies, procedures, and KPIs
• Contact credit sources, ensuring credit packages or client's financial status is complete

• Provide the highest level of customer service via inbound/outbound calls in communication with consumers regarding mortgage assistance
