Serve as the primary point of contact for advanced and sensitive employee relations issues
Provide consultative support to HR Partners and business leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, accommodations, and conflict resolution
Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures
Administer and oversee employee leave programs (FMLA, ADA, short-term/long-term disability, parental leave, personal leave)
Partner with employees, managers, and third-party vendors to manage leaves efficiently and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Lead impartial, thorough, and timely investigations into harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations
Partner with Legal to manage high-risk cases and ensure adherence to employment law and company standards
Maintain accurate documentation and case tracking to ensure regulatory and company compliance
Support development, refinement, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures
Provide guidance and training to managers and employees on ER topics, including workplace conduct and dispute resolution
Monitor and analyze ER trends, escalate concerns, recommend solutions, and prepare reports and insights for leadership
Report to the Chief Legal Officer and act as a subject matter expert across the organization
Requirements
7+ years of progressive HR/Employee Relations experience with proven ability to manage cases independently
Deep knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
Demonstrated expertise in conducting investigations and resolving workplace conflicts
Strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to navigate sensitive and confidential issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders at multiple levels
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred
