About the role
- Spearhead operational process streamlining enrollments and payments of Thatch members to national insurance carriers where automation is not available
- Build out and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the internal Operations team
- Manage a queue of enrollment and payment tasks from Thatch to insurance carriers
- Assist with manual enrollments and interact with insurance carriers, vendors, and customers
- Engage with Engineering and Operations to build internal and external tools to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with Sales, Support, and Advising to create customer solutions
- Balance projects to develop the operations function while addressing ongoing customer needs
- Work with vendors and carriers to develop new operational models as automation is introduced
- Learn quickly and adapt to new processes as workflows are refined
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree and some on-the-job experience (may include internships)
- Experience thriving in a high-paced environment
- A strong growth mindset and desire to learn and improve
- Well-developed organizational and writing skills
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems with limited oversight
- Track record of success and recognition in your professional or academic career (preferred)
- Experience in the health insurance or benefits space (preferred)
- Diverse job experience; broad range of skills and adaptability (preferred)
