About the role
- Blend financial modeling, retail merchandising, and strategic business planning to grow PerfectGift’s presence in malls and retail locations.
- Develop and maintain financial models for gift card revenue, costs, EBITDA projections, weekly cash flow, annual and five-year projections, startup costs, unit-level planning, capture rates, inventory levels, sales forecasts, breakage estimates, cost allocations and redemption patterns.
- Conduct market analysis and competitive assessments to inform pricing strategies and program features.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, marketing, software development, fulfillment and IT teams to integrate gift card systems into point-of-sale infrastructure.
- Prepare business cases, budgets, and variance analyses; track program performance and recommend adjustments.
- Monitor and incorporate regulatory requirements related to gift cards (escheatment, consumer protection laws, sales tax) into planning.
- Analyze KPIs post-rollout including sales uplift, customer acquisition costs, and ROI; create monthly reporting in compliance with partner agreements.
- Drive operational impact targets: 95%+ on-time delivery, 25%+ distribution growth, 85%+ forecasting accuracy, 95%+ in-stock inventory during peak season, and adhere to yearly G&A budget limits.
- Travel up to 50% to visit partners, retail locations, tradeshows, and prospects.
Requirements
- Retail Merchandising experience including product placement, inventory management, display creation & understanding of the consumer buying habits.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration; MBA or professional certification preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software tools such as Excel, ERP systems, point of sale systems and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
- Minimum 5 years in FP&A or business planning roles, ideally within retail or consumer goods sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in product launch or program rollout initiatives, with a focus on financial implications.
- Familiarity with retail operations in shopping malls and gift card programs is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of financial regulations pertinent to gift cards and retail finance.
- Travel upwards of 50% of the time to visit partners, retail locations, tradeshows, and prospects.
- This is a 5-day onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA.
