About the role
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers to contract technical products and services for Wisk's aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- Lead RFIs/RFPs, supplier down selection, and negotiate contracts
- Perform contract phase-in and actively resolve issues as they occur (quality, schedule, cost, contract)
- Support internal stakeholders including engineering, software, manufacturing, quality, facilities, finance, program management, flight test and system teams
- Support supplier assessments and develop corrective and preventative actions
- Monitor supplier technical, quality, delivery and financial performance
- Identify cost savings opportunities and work with suppliers to reduce material costs
- Resolve component shortages quickly to prevent impact to the line
- Develop supplier & commodity strategy, assess risk, and manage suppliers and contracts
- Lead and implement strategies to optimize the supply chain and related total costs and support lean production with tactical and daily problem solving
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree or the equivalent in experience
- At least eight (8) years working experience in supply chain strategy development and architecture
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or high complexity manufacturing operations
- Hands-on experience negotiating complex supplier agreements
- Excellent analytical and judgment skills
- Deep and applied knowledge of complex strategic sourcing and opportunity analysis
- Highly effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Familiarity with electric motor, battery, software, PCB assemblies, composite manufacturing, avionics assemblies and COT’s vendors
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Proficiency in analytics, sourcing, contract management and supplier strategy
- Strong relationship building skills
- Ability and willingness to travel ~25%
