About the role
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
- Accountable for development and delivery of Battery Management PCBAs, customer sensor electronics, and wire harness definition
- Direct end-to-end development of all PCBA hardware from concept and design through validation and production
- Ensure all designs meet UL Functional Safety, reliability testing (HALT), and internal performance standards
- Establish and standardize a unified electronics development process to improve efficiency, quality, and predictability
- Serve as the primary cross-functional liaison with Mechanical, Firmware, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration
- Report into Systems Engineering BMS team and lead the PCBA team
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in electronics design
- 2+ years of experience in a management/leadership position
- Demonstrated experience in BMS designs, circuit design, PCBA manufacturing, or cross-functional electrical integration in a relevant safety-oriented industry
- Experience with setting up design reviews and managing conflicting constraints
- Familiarity with the lifecycle and manufacturing for electronics design
- Experience in electronics verification and validation
- Functional Safety mindset and process
- Excellence with communicating design decisions with cross-functional teams, through various stages of the product development process
- Ability to manage Jira tasks for a team of engineers, and delegate responsibility to senior members of the team
