About the role
- Conduct studies related to the development and implementation of NDT methods
- Lead the development of dimensional and visual inspection processes, with potential expansion to other NDT methods (UT, RT, ET, etc.)
- Draft bilingual documentation required for projects (Specifications, Technical Justifications, Inspection Procedures, etc.)
- Lead and/or perform development and qualification testing of processes
- Train field personnel prior to operations on nuclear sites
- Provide technical supervision during operations and manage associated deviations
- Participate in technical and commercial bids
- Report to the Head of Inspection France and functionally to a Project Manager
- Based in Villejust or Marseille (Orsay listed); may travel to workshops, nuclear sites in France or abroad and client premises; possible shift and weekend work
Requirements
- Master's degree (Bac+5) with a technical focus
- Expertise in NDT/END and knowledge in physical measurements and materials
- Significant experience in metrology (manual dimensional inspections, 3D measurements, uncertainty calculations, control jig design)
- Significant experience in visual weld inspections, both direct and remote
- Certified VT and/or PT Level 2; additional Level 2 and/or Level 3 certifications according to ISO 9712 are an asset
- At least 5 years of experience in NDT within high safety/security environments
- Experience in the nuclear sector and with EDF is a plus
- Autonomous, meticulous, and capable of working in a team and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bilingual in French and English; proficiency in German or Spanish is a plus
- Valid driver's license (Category B)
