Lead and supervise accounting personnel, including external resources as needed, to achieve departmental goals.
Develop and deliver monthly reports and dashboards in collaboration with IT, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development for team members.
Conduct finance and system training for accounting staff and broader finance teams.
Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close and global consolidation activities.
Maintain and document internal controls across general accounting processes, including financial close, reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
Oversee global intercompany accounting to ensure proper elimination during consolidation.
Support financial reporting requirements, including internal management reports and statutory filings.
Manage accounting integration for acquisitions/divestitures, including intercompany transactions and legal entity changes.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within corporate accounting.
Promote best practices, lean standards, and automation across global accounting functions.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support the development and implementation of accounting policies.
Collaborate with the Corporate Tax department to ensure accurate accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.
Manage quarterly revenue deferral processes for North America in coordination with business units and customer service teams.
Serve as the primary contact for external auditors regarding accounting matters.
Present in finance meetings and training sessions as needed.
Lead and participate in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience required
CPA certification or Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
3+ years of experience in technical accounting, acquisition integration, or system implementation preferred
Experience in a multinational manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and team development capabilities
Initiative-driven with a focus on continuous improvement and change management
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to present effectively in both small and large group settings
High attention to detail and results-oriented mindset
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
