Reports to the Executive Director of IT Enterprise Computing and oversees servers, storage, virtualization, and cloud.
Lead teams that deliver server services, capacity planning, support application technical platforms, infrastructure planning, and business continuity/disaster recovery services.
Develop near-term tactical plans and a strategic roadmap to increase automation, improve efficiency and service quality, and reduce total cost of ownership.
Establish measurable goals, objectives and operating procedures for Enterprise IT; manage customer deliverables and expectations for day-to-day support and operations.
Design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure and provide architectural framework for system development, maintenance, and enhancement.
Work closely with systems administrators and engineers to develop road maps for applications and ensure effective integration among systems and infrastructure.
Monitor technological advancements and evaluate impact of changes or additions across systems, applications, and services.
Direct staff activities: hiring, training, development, performance appraisals, promotions, and dismissals; maintain a highly competent staff including contract resources.
Manage financial and operational governance of contractors and consultants; identify and escalate contractual issues; administer services contracts and review RFP/RFQ/RFI for data and voice network services.
Prepare budgets and capital/operational financial documents; provide weekly IT Leadership updates on accomplishments, plans, outages, Service Desk metrics, and changes.
Support IS policies and compliance: attend User Group/education programs, assist with Joint Commission and HIPAA requirements, facilitate MS patching compliance, and ensure SOX/HIPAA/PCI audit compliance.
Develop IS policy & procedures and manage implementation of all clinical and financial applications; perform hospital and physician practice rounding and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelors degree required. Bachelors in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred.
Minimum 8 years in information technology, including a minimum of 5 years experience in a management role is required.
Minimum 3 years in healthcare is preferred.
Experience with Security, Networks and Telecom is required.
Experience implementing complex and integrated information systems is required.
Overall infrastructure foundational knowledge is required.
Experience with Servers, Storage, Citrix/Horizon/App/Desktop Virtualization within a large environment is strongly preferred.
Azure cloud experience welcome.
Excellent Project Management skills including practical usage of Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of Basic Network, Telecommunication, and Security Operations.
