Remote leadership role; manages health and welfare benefit programs for employees and retirees; administers retirement, pension, FMLA, and other benefits for 20,000+ employees across 11 hospitals and 100+ locations.
Supports harmonization of benefit plans across the system; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations; collaborates with third-party administrators.
Oversees communication and documentation of benefits; conducts enrollment processes and maintains enrollment and claims records.
Partners with HR leadership and consultants to provide guidance on benefits strategy, administration, and customer service.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree is required; degree in Human Resources or Risk Management is preferred.
Certifications: Cert Benefits Professional-Preferred, Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar professional designation preferred.
Minimum 7 years of Benefits related experience; comprehensive knowledge of health and welfare plan design, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, OBRA, etc.; experience with large-scale health and wellness plans (5,000-10,000+ employees).
Progressive leadership of analysts and administrators; ability to influence and develop relationships with senior leadership and line managers.
Demonstrated experience with leave management, FMLA and ADA; strong regulatory and compliance knowledge; vendor coordination.
Strong communication, planning, organization, and project management skills; adaptable in fast-paced environments.
