About the role

  • Lead and manage multiple complex projects as a Principal Investigator, and/or team or task lead
  • Mentor and supervise multiple staff members, including other managers and project coordinators
  • Coordinate administrative activities for the assigned subsection, such as hiring, onboarding, and project assignments
  • Contribute to new project development, including preparing responses to competitive bid opportunities to expand GRC’s portfolio
  • Assist in leadership activities across GRC’s organization
  • Effectively communicate project priorities to staff
  • Lead efforts to build collaborative relationships among academic and health policy leaders to identify shared priorities and implement quality improvement science projects and policy initiatives
  • Coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary teams, project managers, subcontractors, and vendors assigned to projects
  • Establish training programs, coaching initiatives, and frameworks for integrating QI methodologies into various projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in quality improvement science or a related field
  • Demonstrated managerial and leadership experience
  • Formal training or certification in quality improvement science methodologies (such as Lean, Six Sigma, or IHI Breakthrough Series) preferred
  • 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in project management or a related field preferred
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of study preferred
  • Subject Matter Expertise in quality improvement science or project management preferred
  • Experience as a Principal or Co-Principal Investigator or Project Manager
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience leading or contributing to teams implementing complex projects in a healthcare setting
