About the role

  • Lead daily operations of assigned Patient Access Services PreService Operations areas
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, handle PTO/leave/attendance, and cover open shifts as needed
  • Assist PSO Manager/Director with monitoring KPIs: quality, collections, productivity, patient satisfaction
  • Develop and implement action plans for performance improvement
  • Supervise employees: interviewing, hiring, counseling, evaluations, and terminations
  • Monitor and encourage point of service collections and manage cash handling
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership on denial resolution and account/work-queue management
  • Implement training, quality monitoring, data reporting, and policy enforcement
  • Foster positive relationships with staff, physicians, and hospital leadership
  • Participate in departmental/hospital committees and projects
  • Available for flexible hours including 24/7 coverage as appropriate

Requirements

  • GED General or High School Diploma General-Preferred
  • Bachelors Other-Preferred
  • CHAA, CPAR, or CRCR certification required upon hire
  • Minimum 2 years in healthcare Revenue Cycle (Bachelors may substitute for experience)
  • Epic experience preferred
  • Computer/data entry experience
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail, self-directed and positive attitude
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Working knowledge of patient registration systems and intermediate Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Typing/data entry competency of at least 40 words/minute
  • Cash handling and balancing
  • Demonstrated professionalism and active listening skills
