About the role
- Lead daily operations of assigned Patient Access Services PreService Operations areas
- Ensure appropriate staffing, handle PTO/leave/attendance, and cover open shifts as needed
- Assist PSO Manager/Director with monitoring KPIs: quality, collections, productivity, patient satisfaction
- Develop and implement action plans for performance improvement
- Supervise employees: interviewing, hiring, counseling, evaluations, and terminations
- Monitor and encourage point of service collections and manage cash handling
- Collaborate with Revenue Cycle leadership on denial resolution and account/work-queue management
- Implement training, quality monitoring, data reporting, and policy enforcement
- Foster positive relationships with staff, physicians, and hospital leadership
- Participate in departmental/hospital committees and projects
- Available for flexible hours including 24/7 coverage as appropriate
Requirements
- GED General or High School Diploma General-Preferred
- Bachelors Other-Preferred
- CHAA, CPAR, or CRCR certification required upon hire
- Minimum 2 years in healthcare Revenue Cycle (Bachelors may substitute for experience)
- Epic experience preferred
- Computer/data entry experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, self-directed and positive attitude
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Working knowledge of patient registration systems and intermediate Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Typing/data entry competency of at least 40 words/minute
- Cash handling and balancing
- Demonstrated professionalism and active listening skills
