About the role
- Oversee development and execution of “move money”, balance management, and statement visualization epics and features working in partnership with stakeholders including business, risk, digital, testing, legal and compliance
- Recruit, mentor, and nurture a high-performing agile product development team
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and accountability
- Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and professional development planning
- Identify and address skill gaps within the team, including identification of appropriate training or coaching
- Oversee agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Coach teams adopting the best practices for continuous delivery and improvement
- Remove impediments and resolve conflicts that hinder team progress, escalate promptly as necessary
- Collaborate with product owners to refine and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring inputs are clear, actionable, and aligned with business strategy
- Oversee the execution of product development from ideation to testing, ensuring deadlines are met and quality standards upheld
- Champion customer-centric thinking, encouraging teams to seek feedback, iterate rapidly, and deliver meaningful value
- Work with Product Development leader to manage resource allocation and capacity planning
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical teams to align expectations and goals
- Prepare and present regular reports to leadership on team achievements, challenges, and areas for growth
- Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
- Foster a culture of transparency where challenges are surfaced and addressed quickly
- Lead root-cause analysis sessions to learn from setbacks and prevent recurrence
- Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
- Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer
Requirements
- 6+ years of digital product management or leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or a related field
- Experience in product development, software engineering, or related roles
- Familiarity with agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and product management principles
- Demonstrated expertise in agile methodologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to motivate, coach, and resolve conflict within teams
- Proven track record of delivering complex products on time and within budget
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional, complex, and interrelated concepts into clear, consumable, implications, actions, and decisions
- Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels
- Exceptional problem solving abilities
- Exceptional ability to translate complex business and operational concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced degree preferred
- Candidate must be willing to work onsite from one of the stated locations listed in the job posting on a hybrid schedule
