About the role
- Accountable for Waymo's roadmap execution by providing thoughtful cross-functional planning, clarity, and proactive risk management
- Act with thoughtful urgency, driving conversations, discussions, and outcomes to address complex technical and operational challenges
- Partner closely with every function of Waymo to structure, own, and drive work towards real-world deployments of the Waymo Driver across platforms and geographies
- Ensure release tasks are followed and on track
- Communicate and facilitate resolution of potential issues as they are identified
- Continuously improve processes to ensure more efficient releases
- Report to a Lead TPM, Release Management
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with managing software releases
- 2+ years of experience managing technical projects
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working within the context of Software Development Lifecycle
- Good understanding of system architecture and design principles
- Quality Assurance, validating quality of software
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze source code for understanding system behavior and requirements
- Technical Program Management experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and workflows (preferred)
- Expertise in computer programming (preferred)
- Understanding and ability to perform as a Release Engineer (preferred)
