Product Manager

• Own the roadmap for Watershed’s corporate methodology: define the vision, strategy, and north‑star metrics for our data artifacts that constitute methodology (ingestion templates, activity types, external source databases, reporting queries etc)
• Own verifier partnerships: source, negotiate, and manage relationships with third‑party verification and assurance providers, ensuring Watershed’s methodology earns external trust and meets evolving audit requirements.
• Navigate the open‑data and standards ecosystem: build and maintain relationships with open‑dataset providers, standards‑setting bodies, and industry alliances; evaluate when to adopt, contribute to, or build alternatives.
• Become an expert on the customer: sit with sustainability leads, data teams, and auditors to uncover pain points, validate hypotheses, and turn insights into product requirements.
• Design for correctness and auditability: work with climate scientists and data engineers to ensure methodologies are accurate, transparent, and defensible under regulatory scrutiny.
• Partner across the org: align roadmaps with Sales, Customer Success, Sustainability Advisors, Reporting, Supply Chain, and Finance teams so that methodology investments land successfully across every product surface.

Senior Product Manager, Methodology

Accounting Manager

• Own technical accounting for revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Manage end-to-end accounting for capitalized commissions (ASC 340-40)
• Lead internally developed software accounting (ASC 350-40)
• Author high-quality technical accounting memos
• Serve as primary accounting partner for new product launches
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define and validate revenue data pipelines
• Act as accounting DRI in cross-functional forums
• Actively participate in month-end close for technical areas
• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Serve as a key liaison for external auditors
• Drive automation initiatives
• Define long-term priorities for revenue automation

Technical Accounting Lead

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end-to-end across all Watershed entities and geographies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and consolidated financial statements
• Manage the global general ledger, chart of accounts, and intercompany accounting
• Serve as primary point person for external audits, preparing comprehensive documentation and coordinating all audit activities
• Apply technical US GAAP guidance in key areas including lease accounting, equity transactions, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
• Take ownership of tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with external advisors
• Identify bottlenecks in current processes and implement solutions
