Lead Software Engineer

Recruitment

• Own full-cycle recruiting for our customer-focused Mexico City roles: intake, sourcing, interview coordination, offer, and close.
• Build top-of-funnel for both immediate and future hiring needs via targeted outbound sourcing, referrals, campaigns, and ongoing engagement with local talent.
• Create scalable hiring processes that allow us to turn up and down hiring volume as needed to meet customer needs.
• Drive weekly pipeline reviews, interview panel training, structured debriefs, and continuous improvements.
• Track and share key metrics (time-to-fill, pass-through rates, offer acceptance, source mix).
• Help shape our Mexico employer brand: local events, partnerships, job content localization, and candidate experience that stands out.
• Support other North America roles as needed (coordination, sourcing, candidate experience).

Business Recruiter

Payroll

• Own end to end payroll cycles for US, UK and Mexico employees
• Optimize our use of Rippling and other payroll/HR systems, drive data integration between HRIS, ERP, and time‑tracking tools
• Lead future payroll system implementation or migrations (e.g., centralizing MX/UK payroll into Rippling).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors including Rippling, Remote, Mazars (MX payroll/statutory), and UK payroll providers.
• Drive SLA performance, compliance, and quality across all payroll partners.
• Maintain audit-ready controls, workflows, and documentation across all jurisdictions.
• Establish KPIs (e.g. payroll accuracy, on‑time processing, ticket resolution) for payroll performance measurement
• Administer benefits programs in the US and UK in coordination with People Ops.
• Work closely with:
• - Finance – payroll inputs, cost allocation, headcount reporting, forecasts.
• - People Ops/HR – onboarding, offboarding, compensation changes.
• - Legal & Tax – compliance, employment law, and cross-country issues.
• - External advisors – Mazars MX, UK accountants, US payroll tax resources.
• - Controllers & FP&A – support cost-plus documentation and payroll forecasting.

Global Payroll Manager

Product Manager

• Own the roadmap for Watershed’s corporate methodology: define the vision, strategy, and north‑star metrics for our data artifacts that constitute methodology (ingestion templates, activity types, external source databases, reporting queries etc)
• Own verifier partnerships: source, negotiate, and manage relationships with third‑party verification and assurance providers, ensuring Watershed’s methodology earns external trust and meets evolving audit requirements.
• Navigate the open‑data and standards ecosystem: build and maintain relationships with open‑dataset providers, standards‑setting bodies, and industry alliances; evaluate when to adopt, contribute to, or build alternatives.
• Become an expert on the customer: sit with sustainability leads, data teams, and auditors to uncover pain points, validate hypotheses, and turn insights into product requirements.
• Design for correctness and auditability: work with climate scientists and data engineers to ensure methodologies are accurate, transparent, and defensible under regulatory scrutiny.
• Partner across the org: align roadmaps with Sales, Customer Success, Sustainability Advisors, Reporting, Supply Chain, and Finance teams so that methodology investments land successfully across every product surface.

Senior Product Manager, Methodology

Accounting Manager

• Own technical accounting for revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Manage end-to-end accounting for capitalized commissions (ASC 340-40)
• Lead internally developed software accounting (ASC 350-40)
• Author high-quality technical accounting memos
• Serve as primary accounting partner for new product launches
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define and validate revenue data pipelines
• Act as accounting DRI in cross-functional forums
• Actively participate in month-end close for technical areas
• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Serve as a key liaison for external auditors
• Drive automation initiatives
• Define long-term priorities for revenue automation

Technical Accounting Lead

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process end-to-end across all Watershed entities and geographies, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and consolidated financial statements
• Manage the global general ledger, chart of accounts, and intercompany accounting
• Serve as primary point person for external audits, preparing comprehensive documentation and coordinating all audit activities
• Apply technical US GAAP guidance in key areas including lease accounting, equity transactions, revenue recognition, and fixed assets
• Take ownership of tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and coordinate with external advisors
• Identify bottlenecks in current processes and implement solutions

Accounting Manager, GL

• Support our G&A and Customer teams (finance, legal, people, customer success, etc.) through the next few months of a hiring push
• Focus on cultivating strong partnerships across several leaders to find, attract, and retain the very best talent
• Help drive alignment and talent strategy with leaders and stakeholders across the business
• Ensure we continue building the foundational teams that allow Watershed to succeed
• Embed yourself with teams as a strong consultative recruiter holding the candidate experience sacred
