About the role
- Lead the development of Walmart’s global IP policies and external-facing guidance, ensuring clarity and regional legal alignment.
- Oversee external-facing guidance, internal training content and rollout strategies to improve notice handling and reduce escalation risk.
- Manage SOPs, workflows, and templates to support scalable enforcement operations across Walmart’s ecommerce platforms.
- Monitor global IP risk trends and partner with stakeholders to proactively update policies and protocols.
- Manage a team including direct reports, dotted-line contributors, and offshore support agents.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Operations to ensure consistency and clarity across markets.
- Oversee operational execution of enforcement strategy and strengthen Walmart’s brand protection posture.
- Provide training, guidance, and operational workflows to ensure consistent, clear, and customer-trust-driven IP practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in compliance, ethics, legal, project management, or related area.
- 2 years’ supervisory experience.
- 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
- 3–5+ years of experience in intellectual property enforcement, brand protection, or legal operations.
- Proven ability to develop and communicate policy across global teams and external audiences.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and leading teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of IP concerns in ecommerce and regional legal nuances.
- Expertise in Excel, with the ability to analyze data and trends to inform strategic planning and operational improvements.
- Project Management - Project Management Professional - Certification listed as preferred.
- Master's in Business Administration listed as preferred.
