VetsEZ is seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead Agile software development teams supporting DevSecOps initiatives for the Department of Veterans Affairs.
This role involves overseeing end-to-end project delivery, managing cross-functional team performance, and ensuring project objectives are aligned with VA’s mission and compliance standards.
The candidate must reside within the continental US.
Responsibilities: Lead all phases of project management initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for DevSecOps related projects.
Define and manage project scope, timelines, resource plans, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Partner with technical leads to support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and infrastructure modernization.
Track and report on Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown charts) to monitor progress and identify risks early.
Serve as the primary liaison between VA stakeholders and internal development teams, ensuring transparency and timely communication.
Promote process improvements, governance, and quality assurance across delivery teams to uphold security and compliance.
Coordinate with leadership to manage dependencies across products and align priorities within the broader portfolio.
Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
10+ years of project management experience, preferably in a federal or healthcare environment.
Extensive experience managing complex IT projects and ability to operate effectively in high-stress environments.
Proven ability to translate project activities into executive-level reports, correspondence, and presentations.
Experience with lifecycle and project management methodologies.
Experience in tracking costs, schedules, and performance progress.
SAFe Agilist or other Agile certifications.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile frameworks.
