About the role
- Define, implement, and maintain project management standards, methodologies, and best practices across the operations and project management team.
- Oversee allocation of creative resources to ensure optimal utilization and prevent overburdening of the creative team.
- Develop and apply project procedures, tools, and techniques to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, milestones and deliverables for campaigns across various channels (digital, print, video, social media, events).
- Provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, mentoring, and targeted development initiatives for the operations team; implement retention programs and performance optimization strategies.
- Act as a central point of contact for internal teams to facilitate communication and ensure alignment on project goals.
- Monitor projects, identify potential problems early, manage risks, and ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule.
- Support creative processes while ensuring adherence to deadlines and business objectives; balance flexibility for creative work with standardized project methodologies.
- Drive exceptional performance across the operations team and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality.
Requirements
- Prefer at least six or more years of experience in creative project management and operations, ideally in a creative agency or fast-paced in-house creative team with complex project experience.
- 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams.
- 3 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, or related field and 4 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area.
- bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related creative field, OR PMP certification OR equivalent experience (education may be substituted by experience).
- Project Management Certification preferred.
- Managing a budget, profit and loss statement, or related financial process preferred.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Asana, Workfront, Jira, Smartsheet, AirTable).
- Knowledge of creative production workflows (digital, video, print).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage creative teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Emotional intelligence and ability to manage stress and diffuse tension.
