About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Provide strategic oversight for the entire portfolio of client projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, resource availability, and overall delivery standards.
- Develop, implement, and standardize project management methodologies, tools, and best practices across the department to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the Project Management department and across inter-departmental workflows.
- Collaborate closely with other department heads (e.g., Campaigns, Enrollment Operations, Engineering, Business Development) to ensure seamless cross-functional execution and communication.
- Manage resource allocation and workload distribution within the Project Management team to optimize capacity and prevent burnout.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the entire project portfolio, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate strategic planning sessions for the Project Management department, contributing to the overall company roadmap.
- Ensure exceptional client satisfaction through proactive communication, effective issue resolution, and consistent delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex project challenges, providing guidance and strategic solutions to the Project Manager team.
Requirements
- Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Life Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management).
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in project management within clinical trials, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of proven leadership experience, including direct management and mentorship of a project management team.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP certification is preferred).
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Superior interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Strong organizational development skills, with experience in process optimization and change management.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly growing startup environment.
