About the role
- Provide direction and guidance to members of management and hourly associates on member service approaches and techniques and assist with member service as needed
- Supervise and develop management and hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and providing recognition
- Recruit qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve Company growth potential
- Uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, and providing resolutions
- Ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the facility, including human resource compliance, asset protection, and safety controls
- Increase quality of Member experience by ensuring appropriate service levels and effective merchandise presentation, pricing, signing, inventory levels, and requesting merchandise
- Initiate, direct, and participate in community outreach programs and represent the Company to external organizations
- Direct management team in all facility operations including asset protection, inventory control, member service, and associate safety
- Drive the financial performance of the facility by ensuring budgeted sales, membership, wages, and expenses are achieved and by creating and implementing plans to improve financial performance
- Oversee and enforce food safety standards, cold chain compliance, and food merchandise quality
- Demonstrate sound financial management skills including interpreting, analyzing, and explaining financial data, managing budgets, and ensuring accounting of assets and expenses
- Manage the inventory flow process and collaborate with Home Office buyers and DSD suppliers on replenishment processes
- Execute Company procedures and strategic initiatives that drive Member experience and implement associate ideas to improve products and services
Requirements
- 3 years' of management experience
- Retail Experience (preferred)
- Compliance with Walmart and its subsidiaries' drug-free workplace and no tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job
