About the role

  • Lead the hardware research, development, and optimization efforts for the IAMD seeker systems, focusing on radar technologies
  • Oversee the integration of software and algorithm development with hardware to ensure cohesive system functionality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, software, hardware, and test & evaluation to advance TRL levels
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance seeker performance, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align development efforts with program goals and timelines
  • Oversee design reviews, risk assessments, and validation activities
  • Stay abreast of emerging radar technologies and integrate relevant advancements into the IAMD seeker roadmap
  • Manage IRAD and internal research initiatives and drive TRL maturation

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent)
  • 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • U.S. Person required to meet export control compliance (22 C.F.R. §120.15)
  • Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in radar system hardware design, development, and integration (preferred)
  • Experience with RF seeker and seeker subsystems in missile or defense applications (preferred)
  • Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary engineering teams (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of seeker hardware technologies and radar signal processing (preferred)
  • Experience with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) maturation processes (preferred)
  • Skills in risk management and mitigation in early-stage technology development (preferred)
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing techniques and tools (preferred)
  • Familiarity with modeling and simulation tools for radar systems (preferred)
  • Background in systems engineering and integration (preferred)
  • Experience managing IRAD projects or similar internal research initiatives (preferred)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
