About the role
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes, plans, and tooling methodologies for composite aircraft parts and assemblies
- Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support the integration of technical solutions and ensure manufacturability of designs
- Investigate and resolve technical problems related to composite manufacturing processes
- Participate in the implementation of Lean principles to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste
- Resolve technical issues that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule
- Conduct data analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders to align on product development and manufacturing goals
- Perform producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capabilities meet requirements
- Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes
- 100% onsite work at listed location options
- Must be able to obtain interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 2+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Must meet export control compliance requirements: be a U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
- Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting (preferred)
- Education/experience typically ABET preferred (not required)
