About the role

  • Lead parts of Boeing Commercial Airplanes' 737 Program teams in Renton, Washington on multiple shifts
  • Develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals
  • Develop a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety
  • Lead by demonstrating and holding all accountable to the Boeing Values and Behaviors
  • Lead, develop and motivate employees and first-level managers
  • Manage employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Acquire resources for department activities, provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives and projects to meet business objectives and influence change
  • Ability to work any shift including weekends and overtime
  • 3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in coaching, guiding and mentoring teams (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience working to lead and develop teams to execute to safety, compliance, quality and cost (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment (preferred)
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements; must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
