About the role
- Assist the project team in administration and management of construction project activities
- Assist with job office set up and initial CMiC configuration (Submittal Log Registry, RFI numbering)
- Prepare and maintain Submittal Logs and RFI Logs in CMiC
- Set up and organize contract documents in PlanGrid and manage progress photo documentation
- Post RFIs and maintain accuracy of project as-builts
- Manage and maintain the Material Procurement Log and interact with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries
- Oversee contract close out process (O&M manuals, As-Builts) and create closeout binders
- Attend project meetings and prepare/distribute meeting minutes
- Participate in WEO trainings, networking events, PE Boot Camps and Round Tables
- Assist Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager in obtaining and logging subcontractor costs and tracking PCI tickets
- Coordinate subcontract award dates to align with schedule and material on-site dates
- Manage the submittal process with subcontractors and design team and track all drawing issuances
- Distribute project schedules and 8-week look ahead schedules
- Identify conflicts in contract documents, issue RFIs, and expedite responses
- Assist Project Superintendent(s) with safety orientation, incident reports, and collecting subcontractor safety plans (IIPP, JHA, SDS)
- Assist in creating the first draft of Site Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) as required
- Schedule and document pre-installation and BIM coordination meetings; take meeting minutes
- Design and manage project mock-ups and owner training schedules; video record and transmit trainings for closeout
- Manage punchlist process, follow up on punch list status, and participate in acceptance walks with Architect/Owner as needed
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of scheduling and CMiC applications.
- Understanding of basic construction administration processes, including construction documents, schedules, RFIs, submittals and material procurement.
- Understanding of basic daily software tools, such as Bluebeam, Plan Grid, Safety Mojo, BIM 360 Glue, etc.
- Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course
- First Aid and CPR certified
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Basic time management and organization skills
- Ability to take initiative, show punctuality, dependability, and emotional maturity
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, design professionals, inspectors, subcontractors
- Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, negotiate work areas, and perform other construction site physical demands (close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, manual dexterity)
- Ability to work on-site in construction environments with exposure to mechanical parts, heights, fumes, weather, and loud noise
