About the role
- Take the lead on all marketing, communications, and public relations strategies and ensure alignment with business development strategy.
- Prepare and submit specific RFP or RFQ responses; produce high-quality proposal content.
- Develop written and graphic content for collateral, proposals, presentations, project write-ups and resumes.
- Oversee documents created within the department, ensuring professional appearance and company standards are met.
- Work with Director of Business Development and Marketing on creation and execution of marketing plans.
- Prepare and lead marketing meetings to coordinate and prioritize marketing efforts.
- Work with Business Development to provide strategic messaging for RFQ/RFP responses.
- Collaborate with operations staff to interview and pull information for marketing content.
- Produce engaging content and campaigns for the website and social media to support the brand.
- Support efforts to achieve goals of the company's business plan and team initiatives.
- Collect, analyze, and distribute client feedback from surveys and debrief meetings.
- Oversee maintenance of collateral information and materials used in proposals.
- Oversee maintenance of the database for contacts, leads, and opportunities.
- Lead training for the company on marketing best practices and promote a business development culture.
- Provide periodic reports and department analytics to leadership and analyze reports to provide input.
- Develop and manage internal communications; write company stories, editorials, and press releases.
- Lead the strategy, creation, and implementation of the annual marketing plan.
- Oversee the coordination of photographers and maintain asset libraries.
- Manage calendar of marketing activities and pursuit deadlines; support and demonstrate the pursuit process.
- Act as a brand and strategy ambassador; review marketing content and graphics and provide coaching to staff.
- Provide client and project opportunity research.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations or Communications.
- 12+ years of marketing experience in the industry or a similar role.
- 12+ years of experience producing proposals and marketing collateral.
- CPSM certification is strongly encouraged.
- Understands Social Media Applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook.
- Proficient in Coessential or similar CRM software.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Ability to navigate and organize files and folders in cloud-based platforms, such as Box.com.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of relationship-building.
- Well-developed time management and organization skills.
- Management skills: delegation, providing direction, training, feedback and support; drives creativity and process; manages creation of proposals and marketing collateral; ensures brand management and consistency.

- Understanding of financial statements and accounting systems, including balance sheet, income statement and receivable reports.
- Understanding insurance in Construction industry and its impact on the Construction agreement and subcontractor’s agreement.
- Understanding basics of owner’s contract: AIA 101, AIA 111, AIA General Conditions to Contract.
