About the role

  • Ensure Vive’s FC portfolio sales objectives are achieved in Michigan, Northern Indiana, and Ohio
  • Develop and execute distribution and retail business plans, sales forecasts, and new market opportunities
  • Expand Vive’s market position, sales, and relationships with existing and new retail and distributor accounts
  • Develop relationships and business influence with distributor and retail accounts, COI partners, and key growers
  • Co-develop and execute new crop protection programs for key crops (sugarbeets, corn, soybeans, dry beans, potatoes, alfalfa, etc.)
  • Maintain CRM with routine updates to provide market intelligence
  • Work closely with US Sales Team, Marketing & Communications, Product Development, and other Vive departments
  • Support the “voice of the customer” and provide innovative ideas for business growth
  • Represent Vive in the field and support overall culture and business growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5 or more years of experience in field sales in agriculture
  • Sound agronomic understanding of crop protection products and their use
  • Experience in the liquid fertilizer or biological market a plus
  • Experience with managing and calling on ag retailers, key growers, and ag distributors
  • Experience launching new products and/or technologies into the ag marketplace
  • Excellent understanding of the agricultural marketplace within the Great Lakes region and respective crops
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships with customers (growers, retailers, and distributors)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Effective in small team settings driving collaborative approaches
  • Self-driven and passionate about representing novel product lines in competitive marketplaces
  • Valid passport with ability to travel as needed across the US and Canada
  • Valid drivers’ license and good driving record
