About the role

  • Exclusively work in the field visiting customers Monday to Friday
  • Self-generate business opportunities and convert provided sales leads into customer appointments
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients through self-generated activities and provided leads
  • Evaluate prospect data, build rapport and validate prospect needs in person
  • Obtain referrals from existing clients and network to find new sales opportunities
  • Present products and services compellingly, demonstrating product-market fit and benefits
  • Close sales of payment card terminals and merchant acquiring services
  • Enter and update customer data and information in the CRM system
  • Undertake relevant training and refresh training as required
  • Promote team spirit and learn from colleagues
  • Provide a first-class face-to-face service in a defined geographical region (Liverpool)

Requirements

  • Expertise of B2B sales, selling solutions to SME retail and hospitality businesses at mid – senior level management
  • Track record of consistently achieving sales quotas in past positions
  • A good understanding of information technology, particularly web-based applications
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Experience in working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Outstanding negotiation / sales skills with proven closing ability
  • Strong organizational and diary management skills
  • Resilient and persistent, able to handle objections
  • A results-driven approach and strong self-drive, ability to work under pressure to achieve sales targets
  • Motivated to succeed, both personally and financially
  • A valid driving license and able to use your own vehicle for business purposes (expenses paid)
  • Excellent use of English
  • Advantageous (not essential): Previous experience in banking sector and Card Terminals
  • Advantageous (not essential): Experience of demonstrating / selling technology driven solutions
  • Advantageous (not essential): Understanding of financial products / services features and advantages
