About the role

  • Lead Workday HCM implementation and enhancement projects from initiation through close
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones; communicate project approach and updates to stakeholders at all levels
  • Partner closely with HR teams and functional SMEs to define HCM requirements (Core HR, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Absence, Payroll)
  • Oversee and manage key deliverables including requirements, responsibilities, budgets, timelines, and testing outcomes
  • Manage resources and lead multiple workstreams in fast-paced implementation scenarios, including M&A and post-merger integration initiatives
  • Ensure system integrations, data migration, and change management activities are well-planned and executed
  • Anticipate issues, manage risks, and escalate appropriately to maintain project momentum and success
  • Adhere to project management best practices and systems development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Provide hands-on Workday HCM functional guidance to stakeholders through complex business and system changes

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Workday HCM (hands-on functional knowledge across modules such as Core HR, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Benefits, Talent, Payroll)
  • Strong ERP implementation background, ideally across multiple modules or industries
  • Expertise in Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
  • Advanced business analysis and requirements gathering capabilities, with an emphasis on HCM business processes
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Team-oriented and collaborative, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Skilled at managing tight deadlines, competing priorities, and multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to interpret HCM-related data and deliver actionable insights
  • Comfortable working across cross-functional teams, particularly HR, Finance, Legal, and IT
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office and be proactive in communication
  • Authorization to live and work in the United States or Canada without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Degree-level education (beneficial but not mandatory)
  • Project Management and Workday certification (beneficial but not mandatory)
