About the role

  • Provide human resources consultation and support to designated business units as an embedded HR Business Partner
  • Collaborate with operational leadership, attend departmental and operational meetings, and hold regular one-to-ones with leaders to assess HR needs
  • Partner in developing and executing human capital strategy aligned with organizational objectives
  • Provide HR expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, and compensation support
  • Analyze business unit trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and processes
  • Lead or support post-merger integration, cultural alignment, and organizational change management initiatives
  • Guide people leaders through performance management, goal setting, performance improvement plans, and succession planning
  • Act as primary point of contact for employee relations, triage concerns, mediate disputes, and conduct investigations per best practices
  • Assist with compliance, risk management, talent management, and compensation and benefits tasks for assigned business unit
  • Support implementation and roll-out of corporate HR initiatives and ensure consistent application of policies

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or similar consultative HR role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred (or acceptable combination of education, certification, and experience)
  • Master’s Degree in HR or MBA a plus
  • Previous experience supporting organizational integration, merger activities, or significant change initiatives strongly preferred
  • HR certifications preferred but not required (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR, CIPD, MCIPD)
  • Demonstrated experience in ER investigations, organizational design, change management, talent development, compensation principles, and leaves (FMLA)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact effectively at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; competency in HR reporting and analytics
  • Proven consulting skills and the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Working knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite; Workday experience a plus
  • Understanding of project management principles and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills; ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced, changing environments, particularly during post-merger integration
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively in a diverse, multi-location environment
  • Ability to build trust quickly and establish credibility with business leaders
  • EST or CST working hours preferred
