Network Engineer

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues quickly, proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Support and maintain network backbone infrastructure involving multiple datacentres and geographic regions based on dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and various mediums (DIA, PTP, VPN, multi-gig connectivity, cross-connects)
• Work independently to lead medium sized client engagements involving equipment deployment, network design, or refresh tasks.
• Provide escalation support for incidents involving client offices, Abacus datacentres, public cloud networks (Azure and AWS), and remote access (VPN, Citrix, etc.).
• Support and maintain NGFW firewall configurations with the ability to troubleshoot datacentre and client environments.
• Work directly with high profile clients to provide solutions that meet their needs, and account for critical dependencies to ensure seamless and effective resolution to problems.
• Maintain a high level of communication and collaboration with internal Abacus teams to provide solutions and escalation support.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Abacus and client infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Stay abreast of the latest technological trends and recommend solutions to improve performance, security, and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other team members to develop their skills.

Senior Network Engineer

Administration

• Lead the technical administration and governance of ServiceNow ecosystem
• Manage and maintain the health of a complex, domain-separated ServiceNow instance
• Architect and audit ACL rules and configurations focused on data security
• Partner with diverse departments to interpret business needs and build customized workflows
• Oversee the onboarding and offboarding technical processes for companies and end users
• Lead the customization and implementation of core ITIL modules
• Support software engineering with design, development, and implementation of API and email integrations
• Design and implement SLA workflows
• Create and maintain UI Actions and Business Rules
• Configure and manage the Now Assist Admin Console to oversee AI skill usage
• Use the Now Assist Skill Kit to customize and refine AI prompts
• Enhance self-service by configuring AI Search and Generative AI-powered Virtual Agents
• Maintain and optimize machine learning models for automated ticket categorization
• Collaborate with data owners to ensure high-quality data in the CMDB and Knowledge Base
