Bookkeeper

• Maintain complete general ledger for all financial transactions of the organization;
• Balance books for the preparation of reports to show income, expenses and other items relating to bookkeeping of the organization;
• Track organization’s accounts payable and accounts receivable;
• Enter and maintain cash receipts, disbursement journal and general ledger;
• Prepare bank reconciliation for all bank accounts;
• Assist the Fiscal Director in preparation of the annual financial audits;
• Assist the Fiscal Director in preparing the annual budget for the organization;
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Comptroller, Fiscal Director or Executive Director.

Manager

• Assess clients' service needs and provide case management and advocacy related to public benefits, access to education, and employment opportunities;
• Provide informational workshops on benefits and employment;
• Coordinate services with other providers to bridge service gaps for clients;
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with other service providers, community-based organizations, and government entities;
• Conduct screenings and intakes to assess eligibility for the program;
• Collaborate with clients to develop a case management plan for economic sustainability, and implement that plan through support services;
• Review eligibility and assist with applications for benefits/entitlements;
• Provide post-placement follow-up services to support stability;
• Maintain proper and timely documentation of client activities in VIP’s client management system, Salesforce;

Housing Case Manager

• Conduct intake, screenings, needs assessments, and safety evaluations.
• Provide individualized case management, advocacy, referrals, and resource coordination.
• Support clients with educational, medical, legal, immigration, and social service needs.
• Maintain accurate case records, documentation, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting requirements and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to coordinate comprehensive services.
• Represent VIP at community meetings, outreach events, and stakeholder gatherings.
• Assist with data collection, grant reporting, and program evaluation efforts.

Case Manager

Facilitator

• Facilitate restorative and community-building circles with clients, family/community members, responsible parties, and staff.
• Support restorative justice processes involving interpersonal harm, including outreach, intake, preparation, and case coordination.
• Provide 1:1 client support, including emotional support, safety planning, referrals, and program completion resources.
• Collaborate with referral sources and community partners to support positive client outcomes.
• Recruit, engage, and train community volunteers participating in restorative programming.
• Organize and participate in community outreach events and meetings, including occasional evenings and weekends.
• Assist in developing training curricula, program materials, protocols, and resources informed by client and staff feedback.
• Support strategic planning and implementation efforts to address systemic issues impacting clients.
• Participate in ongoing restorative justice and circle practice training.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Maintain accurate case records, data, and reports for compliance, quality assurance, and grant requirements.
• Collaborate with program leadership on grant reporting and provide data to support fundraising and grant applications.
• Perform related administrative and other program duties as assigned.

General

• Perform telephone screening to identify potential participants.
• Conduct intake assessment on all program participants to identify needs and create/discuss safety plans.
• Provide information and referrals; advocacy and accompaniment as it relates to housing and public benefits.
• Consistently assess the safety of clients to ensure their security, and that of their children; and create safety plans as needed.
• Work collaboratively with staff and other service providers on a consistent basis to ensure the highest quality service delivery.
• Adhere to mandated reporting requirements as they relate to such issues as child abuse/neglect, suicide/homicide concerns, etc.
• Attend and participate in regularly scheduled agency and program meeting including supervision sessions, trainings, case conferences, agency-wide staff meetings, team meetings, inter-disciplinary meetings, etc.
• Conduct community outreach and /or educational workshops as needed by program.
• Represent VIP at conferences, community meetings and special events; including Promoting VIP services at all public functions.
• Report Language access issues as they occur to Associate Director of Community Programs.
• Perform other tasks as required, including any related administrative duties as needed.
• Assist program participants with completing housing applications (i.e. NYCHA Public Housing; Affordable Housing and/or private housing)
• Advocate on behalf of clients regarding housing court issues, emergency transfers, applying for public benefits etc.
• Stay informed and provide information to clients regarding local, state and federal programs that provide rental arrears and assistance
• Participate and advocate in policy discussions about housing and public benefit rights and assist in local and state lobbying efforts including participating in round tables.
• Network with realtors in various communities and accessing their ability to work with program participants
• Conduct groups on housing resources, issues, etc.
• Accurately record all required information that will be pertinent to identified outcomes
• Collect and analyze data to enhance service delivery for the purpose of achieving outcomes.
• Make recommendations for improvement or enhancement to data processes to ensure standards in data entry, collection, and retrieval are achieved.
