About the role
- Develop and maintain full reporting, predictive and analytical suites related to portfolio financial performance
- Monitor, prepare and develop various reports related to portfolio financial performance
- Assist in the management of full account life cycle reporting including Marketing, Acquisition, Underwriting, Account Management, Collections, and Recovery activities
- Present findings to various levels of management, vendors and stakeholders
- Work with other business units to understand reporting, analyses and modeling needs
- Identify areas in need of process improvement and recommend intuitive and innovative solutions
- Analyze and enhance existing Predictive Models through variance analyses and model governance
- Build new Predictive Models and configure champion/challenger scenarios
- Conduct analyses that evaluate and enhance portfolio financial performance
- Assist the Financial Risk Manager in the guidance and training of team members
Requirements
- Develop/Modify financial models used to measure portfolio performances (listed as a top required skill)
- Communicate variances and provide solutions to improve results (listed as a top required skill)
- Provide/Train less experienced team members the financial models (listed as a top required skill)
- Degree in a relevant program such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, Actuarial, Business Intelligence, or other closely related program preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Python, T-SQL and SSRS required
- Experience with statistical modeling using Python, R, SAS or an equivalent required
- Proficient knowledge of standard office equipment including PC skills with emphasis using Microsoft products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Physical Requirements: stand and sit for prolonged periods; specific vision abilities (close and medium distance) and ability to adjust focus; must be able to hear normal sounds and communicate through human speech; ability to operate keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, copier, writing tools, and other standard office equipment; occasionally lift items up to 35 lbs.
