• Develop and manage multi‑million‑dollar Packaging Category Strategies within Direct Procurement.
• Deep expertise in packaging raw materials/substrates/chemicals; leverage market & commodity insights, escalation/de‑escalation mechanisms, and inflation mitigation to inform forecasting, decisions, and competitive pricing.
• Provide quarterly updates on cost inflation by category and update quarterly standard costs.

• Responsible for the design, development, and execution of a wide variety of Learning & Development processes, programs, systems, and performance support materials.

QA Tech II

• The Plant Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and successfully executing all aspects of the Ventura Foods Quality and Food Safety Systems at the plant level.
• This will include coordinating with the Regional Plant Quality Assurance Manager and other Ventura plant QA Managers to manage the execution, communication, and training for all policy systems that relate to Ventura systems, customer systems, and all aspects of maintaining adherence to the FDA Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA), as well as USDA (if applicable), and other regulatory agencies.
• This role will also coordinate projects and training support to the Operations teams and be a liaison with company functional groups of Technical Services, Operations Excellence, R&D, HS&E, Sales, Marketing, HR, and Finance.
• The Plant QA Manager ensures responsiveness and timelines of projects, programs, and management of personnel to delight our customer's customers expectations.
• Provides the leadership and management for the Ventura Foods Quality and Safety systems.
• Leads all aspects of managing plant systems for SOP's, SSOP's, training, and adhering to total product specifications.
• This includes key Must Do's, Right First Time processing, and Total Product Containment.
• Maintains company and facility policies, procedures, and programs supporting food safety and quality systems.
• This includes managing special focus for key customer specification requirements, HACCP/GMP's, and SQF II requirements.

• Produce quality product that meets or exceeds food safety standards and specifications determined by Ventura Foods or outside regulating agencies (FDA, USDA, or County Health Dept.)
• Insure that production is at a level and is scheduled to consistently meet both customer service and Ventura Foods' distribution point requirements.
• Oversee all phases of the production process and review all maintenance needs within the department with the Maintenance management staff.
• Work with the Maintenance Department in controlling the R&M budget in this area and supporting the PM Program.
