About the role
- Lead building automation projects aligning with company vision and strategy
- Manage a team of automation subject matter experts to design & deliver building automation systems across North America
- Provide leadership in knowledge transfer and implementation of standards and practices for IT/OT systems, including network implementation, PLCs and field devices, and IT systems
- Manage internal and external resources to deliver service to operations and other customers
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve issues and deliver sustainable solutions
- Facilitate and support control systems within Operations, collaborating with Engineering, IT, Operations and Corporate management and vendors
- Supervise staff, performance management, career development, and other personnel functions
- Collaborate with Design Engineering and Construction, review project submittals and CAD drawings, and provide onsite commissioning support
- Develop and execute implementation plans, task prioritization, scheduling, and standardized project documentation (RFIs, Transmittals, Submittals, Change Requests, Project Plans, Status Updates)
- Lead procurement efforts for construction items and lead implementation support for building automation and process data collection systems
- Provide training, mentorship, and cross-functional leadership to enhance operational capability and deliver projects on time, scope, and budget
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in managing and supporting controls and automation
- Proven success in Automation & Controls
- Experience leading a team of automation specialist to provide control system solutions
- Proficiency with MS Office, and MS SharePoint
- Travel required is expected to be 25% but may increase over time
- Ambitious, detail-oriented, hands-on Manager of Automation Delivery
- Knowledge of IT/OT systems, network implementation, PLCs and field devices, and IT systems
- Troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing mission critical control systems
- Experience with commissioning of new builds and reviewing project submittals and CAD drawings
