About the role
- Provide research, analysis, reporting, monitoring, and operational process support within the U.S. Operational Risk Management Programs team
- Provide review and guidance/advice on a range of risk related matters within assigned area of specialization
- Support and/or provide oversight, commentary, and strategy analysis for team and/or individual initiatives
- Serve as a developing subject matter resource within the specialty area of Governance document delivery
- Develop subject matter knowledge and exercise independent professional judgment and discretion with staff, stakeholders, and senior management
- Oversee and/or independently perform tasks end-to-end and lead projects of moderate to complex risk and resource requirements
- Execute analysis of complex problems, recommend and implement solutions within area of responsibility
- Provide advanced analysis and specialized reporting to support business partners and centers of expertise
- Build stakeholder alignment, provide process and subject matter advice at senior levels, and guide others
- Develop and operationalize standards, policies and processes to identify, report and mitigate overall risk exposures
- Support ongoing risk measurement activities, acquire/analyze/report operational or loss data, and provide regular risk analysis on operational loss performance
- Support business continuity management and regulatory/compliance initiatives impacting overall risks
- Monitor Key Risk Indicators, compliance, management and strategic initiatives and provide commentary and industry analysis
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives, conduct internal/external research, and support presentations to management
- Lead/facilitate remediation actions to address performance/risk/governance issues and implement process improvements
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or technical professional certification and/or 5+ years relevant experience
- Proficient knowledge of risk management, programs, policies, practices & reporting
- Understanding and experience with various programing tools
- Knowledge of risk management environment, standards, regulations and mitigation
- Knowledge of current and emerging competitor and market trends
- Ability to lead, plan, implement, and evaluate program/project activities to ensure completion of initiatives
- Advanced skill in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques
- Skill in using computer applications including MS Office
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
- Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- May support coordinating business continuity management (BCM) processes and regulatory/compliance related initiatives
