About the role

  • Lead the Commerce Platform team.
  • Establish the platform team’s strategic importance and business value.
  • Craft the vision and strategy for the platform team, and communicate the business value of platform development efforts to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering on the team roadmap, bringing context to business objectives and craft frameworks to help the team make decisions.
  • Actively collaborate with engineering on service oriented architecture development across all phases of development - design, build, migrate, and operationalize.
  • Collaborate with the other commerce teams - your primary customers - on shared service development, migration, and ongoing development. Deeply understand their challenges now and in the future to build the right solutions.
  • Partner with operational teams - customer experience, member experience, finance, payment ops, etc. - to set and achieve organizational goals.
  • Work directly with outside technology partners - such as payment providers - on integrations, roadmap development, and operational improvements. Enforce partner accountability.

Requirements

  • 9+ years experience as a product manager, with a focus on financial technology and/or ecommerce.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines on a distributed team. Experience in enterprise/B2B ecommerce on a global scale.
  • Experience in global payments, including infrastructure such as vaulting, ledger systems, routing, tokenization, and optimization.
  • A deep understanding of how card payments work, and how to operate within a payments partner ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate well with engineering, and be their internal champion.
  • Enough technical knowledge to be “dangerous.” You can write an API spec but not necessarily code to it.
  • Experience with different levels of scale. Understanding that the tools and tactics used at early stages might be different from middle stages and large scale stages.
  • Excellent prioritization skills, developing frameworks to help distributed teams make decisions and execute.
  • Humor, grace, and patience to build on Oura’s core values in a fast paced, high growth environment.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary and equity packages
  • Health, dental, vision insurance, and mental health resources
  • An Oura Ring of your own plus employee discounts for friends & family
  • 20 days of paid time off plus 13 paid holidays plus 8 days of flexible wellness time off
  • Paid sick leave and parental leave
