About the role
- Gather the right context and take thoughtful, calculated risks to move quickly and make informed decisions
- Understand the 'why' behind what is built and make technical choices accordingly
- Improve systems and deliver real business impact through their work
- Cultivate a collaborative and safe environment; speak up to name problems and drive solutions
- Learn and innovate to improve system quality, security, performance, and speed of execution
- Partner deeply with cross functional teams (marketing, data science, designers) to turn insights into technical action
- Drive quality through documentation; record decisions and communicate tradeoffs
- Set clear expectations on delivery and keep close alignment when milestones shift
- Work with technology stack including mobile frameworks and AWS services, integrate AI tools across SDLC
Requirements
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform, Swift, and Python (preferred)
- Experience with Java, AWS (Cognito, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cloudwatch, EventBridge), Snowflake, DBT, React, Java services, and Github Actions (nice to have)
- Foundational debugging skills to see user data, build hypotheses of what that data means, and make meaningful improvements
- Innate curiosity for improving quality and observability
- Passionate about building buttery smooth user experiences
- Analytical mindset with a knack for experimenting, learning, iterating, and growing
- A desire to apply generative AI across the SDLC
- Comfortable complying with hybrid attendance policy for Austin, Chicago, DC, or NYC offices (in-office attendance required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)
- US work authorization not explicitly required but immigration sponsorship question present in application
