About the role
- Design and deliver AI-native products and tools that solve healthcare challenges and optimize internal workflows
- Build and extend AI features across the full stack and integrate AI capabilities into Komodo’s platform
- Drive the full product lifecycle: gather requirements, shape technical designs, and deliver complete features
- Rapidly prototype and experiment using GenAI models, chaining techniques, and orchestration frameworks
- Launch internal AI agents to enhance engineering workflows and automate routine tasks
- Partner with engineers, product teams, and operational stakeholders to identify AI leverage points
- Research and apply state-of-the-art AI techniques (LLMs, agent-based systems, generative models) to structured and unstructured data
- Build internal systems that enhance developer productivity (code review agents, documentation generators, prompt libraries)
- Transition successful prototypes into robust, scalable systems with attention to reproducibility, observability, and maintainability
- Mentor others in prompt design, agent orchestration, and rapid iteration; implement model governance and transparency mechanisms
Requirements
- Track record of building AI-powered systems that move rapidly from prototype to production
- Strong proficiency with LLMs, prompt engineering, and context engineering
- Experience with agent orchestration and multi-agent systems
- Fluency in Python
- Hands-on experience with Gen AI frameworks (Chat Completions API, vLLM, Crew AI, Strands, etc.)
- Full stack engineering experience (front-end frameworks such as React or Vue; back-end systems like FastAPI, Django, or Flask)
- End-to-end product ownership and ability to translate business needs into product requirements
- Deep understanding of AI/ML fundamentals with applied experience
- Comfort building quick demos, debugging AI behavior, and translating ideas into agent workflows or model pipelines
- Engineering discipline to test, refactor, and scale systems with reliability, observability, and maintainability
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
