About the role
- Lead initiatives to build custom solutions integrating Komodo's Healthcare Map and platform capabilities
- Design and implement algorithms, APIs, and custom features to enable customer use cases
- Partner closely with Data and Product teams to introduce rigorous methodologies and execute deployed solutions
- Act as a technical subject matter expert, partnering directly with customers to resolve complex issues and design technical solutions
- Serve as a liaison between customers and engineering teams to help shape product roadmap based on real-world feedback
- Provide technical and engineering leadership and support development of new technologies across the enterprise
- Mentor and guide more junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Manage, coordinate, and deliver key projects to bring new Technical and Data Services to market
- Solve a range of complex technical problems, analyze possible solutions, and assess each using standard procedures
Requirements
- Deep expertise in software and data or related fields in healthcare and technology
- Extensive experience building scalable, best-in-class solutions combining theoretical rigor with implementation efficiency
- Demonstrated record of thought leadership and solution design from high-level conceptual frameworks to detailed execution plans
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and openly with both technical and non-technical teams
- Knowledge of large-scale data and computational technologies
- Experience with privacy-preserving database solutions
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in API-driven engineering or operations
- Ability to leverage AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Cursor, etc.) to enhance personal productivity, streamline workflows, or improve decision-making
- Experience mentoring and guiding more junior engineers
- Experience in life sciences, biotech, or regulatory environments (nice to have)
- Experience in product or program management (nice to have)
- Experience interacting with, managing, or building with AI agentic workflows (nice to have)
