• Be responsible for profit and loss for the South African market

• Develop and execute sales strategies to expand UPM’s presence in the packaging paper market, focusing on Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland
• Manage and grow complex accounts, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiation.
• Manage global key accounts for select packaging paper customers
• Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with both existing and new customers in the packaging paper segment
• Provide regular reporting on sales activities, KPIs, and market trends
• Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer needs, and value chain insights to inform product and service development
• Collaborate with UPM sales teams, supply chain, technical sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing support for customers

Payroll

• Support in managing outsourced payroll processing for both ongoing compensation matters and project-related tasks
• Review monthly payroll runs and oversee compliance with statutory and collective bargaining regulations in the payroll system in coordination with the external service provider
• Prepare analyses and reports for HR and Finance
• Support the provision of information for year-end closing activities in coordination with Finance, Business HR, HR Services and external providers
• Assist in responding to inquiries arising from financial, tax and social security audits — where necessary in cooperation with external service providers and the relevant authorities

• Drive high-quality and timely execution of Fixed Assets and Leases process, taking full ownership of end-to-end process delivery and ensuring the accuracy of reported financial information in own area.
• Ensure integrity, accuracy and compliance of financial and management reporting by taking full ownership and accountability.
• Perform complex accounting tasks in own area, focusing especially on Fixed Assets and Leases.
• Contribute to projects and process development enhancing data quality and efficiency.
