About the role
- Lead a team leveraging Workday applications that cross HR, finance, payroll and Adaptive
- Responsible for day-to-day operation and scheduling of various leads based on current priorities and needs
- Work collaboratively with the Consortium’s HR, Finance, IT leaders, and Maryland state organizations that interface with the Consortium
- Provide guidance and leadership to constituent consortium teams to maximize the benefits of Workday in solving problems and enhancing operations
- Interface with Workday to maintain knowledge of product enhancement and security updates and communicate with central and campus team members
- Offer insights and recommendations to streamline Workday cross-application processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance the user experience
- Maintain documentation of cross-application-related system configurations, processes, and changes
- Support training efforts for tenants and cross-application activities
- Support efforts to resolve Tier 3 & 4 issues (Service Desk tickets)
- Liaise with central and campus compliance and data privacy leads
- Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to ensure system stability and reliability
- Analyze existing technology processes, conduct gap analyses, and contribute to the design and transformation of workflows
- Advise on best practices for optimizing the use of Workday cross-application features
- Develop systems and structures as templates for institutions to use in execution of internal and cross-cutting projects
- Lead Workday cross-application system upgrades, enhancements, testing validation, and overall performance
- Collaborate across Workday support teams and business functions to support system functions and maintain integration-related documentation
- Stay abreast of Workday releases, new features, and best practices and implement technology changes as needed
- Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other internal stakeholders supporting automation
- Work with campus stakeholders and the user community to identify and scope process and system improvements
- Work with the executive director to facilitate cross-application governance groups and prioritization of processes
- Lead and supervise projects and activities to implement best practices and drive business growth
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (related experience may be substituted year-for-year; one year full-time experience = 30 college credits)
- Two (2) years’ hands-on experience with Workday security, integration, and reporting in a post-production environment
- Supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of Workday cross-applications
- Experience configuring Workday cross-applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely across technology and business teams
- Ability to clearly define business challenges and identify and communicate technical and business changes required to address them
- Ability to drive decision-making through a consensus-building approach
- Preferred: Workday Pro Certification – security, integrations, reporting
- Preferred: Workday experience in a higher education environment
- Preferred: Experience with Adaptive Financial Planning
- Preferred: Experience with Adaptive Workforce Planning
- Preferred: Experience with Prism Analytics
- Preferred: Experience with People Analytics
