About the role
- Lead strategic initiatives to promote responsible borrowing and improve student loan repayment options
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to student loan servicing and default prevention
- Develop, implement and manage a robust financial literacy program
- Build and maintain relationships with federal loan servicers
- Ensure departmental operations comply with regulations
- Serve as the primary liaison across departments
- Champion a culture of high-quality service
- Monitor loan performance data and prepare reports for leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in student loan servicing, default prevention, or financial aid in a higher education setting
- Strong understanding of federal student loan programs and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication, analytical and project management skills
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable results
- Nice to have: Previous people leadership experience, Master’s degree in business, Finance or related field
