About the role
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of architectural data and repositories.
- Engage with stakeholders across all business areas and collaborate closely with Architects across the business.
- Ensure data consistency, strategic alignment, and that change is delivered effectively and to timescales.
- Champion the importance of high-quality data and educate the wider business on accurate information.
- Proactively manage the extensive application landscape, improving processes, artefacts, and policy development.
- Lead the assessment and classification of the application landscape, aligning tools with business needs and technology strategy.
- Optimise how technical knowledge is captured and accessed so teams can find and use critical information.
- Maintain high standards for architectural artifact creation, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Champion best practices in information architecture, implement metadata standards, and lead continuous knowledge management improvements.
- Identify developments in laws, regulations, and government-imposed criteria and reflect them into policy development.
- Formulate guidelines and protocols as a result of policy changes.
- Advise and support management in implementation, realization, and evaluation of policies, guidelines, protocols, and procedures.
- Ensure efficient and effective design, realization, and evaluation of projects within established quality criteria.
- Provide external representation (regional architecture boards) to manage business considerations at regional and national level.
- Act as a project leader for cross-departmental projects.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of IT systems and their crucial role within a large-scale commercial business.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise architecture tools and frameworks e.g. capability models.
- Excellent written communication and visual design skills for creating high-quality documentation and templates.
- Strong ability to effectively engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, both technical and nontechnical teams.
- A highly collaborative and true team player.
- Proactive with a positive, solutions-focused mindset.
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven, ensuring precision in your work.
- Comfortable working at pace, consistently delivering to deadlines, and stable under pressure.
