About the role
- Lead, assign, and direct Human Resources ERP development staff, ensuring timely progress and high-quality results
- Develop and implement best practices, tools, and methodologies for ERP software development
- Monitor and resolve escalated Human Resources ERP system issues, managing priorities and team assignments
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the University of Maine System to plan projects, define scope, and communicate progress
- Supervise, coach, and mentor professional staff to support growth and performance
- Participate in IT governance groups and contribute to strategic planning
- Assist in evaluating platforms, systems, and tools and contribute to funding proposals for initiatives
- Drive best practices, standards, and processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security of HR ERP systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five or more years of progressive experience in software design and development for complex, multi-user software systems
- Demonstrated experience managing ERP developers
- Experience in software development and support in a PeopleSoft environment
- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
- Knowledge of software development principles, practices, and methodologies within the ERP realm and SDLC
- Knowledge of design and development of information systems, including layered and distributed architecture models
- Knowledge of software testing methods such as unit testing and regression analysis
- Knowledge of major software security concerns
- Ability to organize, lead, and inspire others and to supervise, coach, and mentor professional staff
- Candidates must be authorized to work and reside in the United States; Visa sponsorship not available
