About the role
- Provide assistance to the internal team on dunning debtors.
- Review all contracts by the company to ensure Ukio’s interests are well defended.
- Review and suggest any modifications to any existing agreements to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to guarantee Ukio’s protection.
- Make sure we comply with all the requirements by the corporate bylaws, shareholder and investment agreements and provide assistance in future capital raises.
- Guarantee the Ukio brand and the IP are well protected.
- Provide aid to tax efforts.
- Guarantee compliance with GDPR.
- Assistance to the main Legal counsel in coordinating certification of ISO, SOC 2, or any other that is necessary.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of experience in general legal counsel.
- Have the degree in legal.
- Can understand all legal implications for a company, you are not a specialist
- Have good negotiating skills
- Can prioritize well and organize your work
- Are rigorous, organized and pay extreme attention to detail
- Fluent level of English and Spanish both written and spoken
- Value learning more than thinking you know it all
- You are proactive and can be autonomous in finding new ways to provide value
- Flexible, resilient and content with ambiguity and changes.
- Confident with working in cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable performing in a start-up environment.
