About the role
- Understand the company’s strategy and potential legal issues in all jurisdictions.
- Create processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance across the business.
- Provide assistance to the internal team on dunning debtors.
- Review all contracts by the company to ensure Ukio’s interests are well defended.
- Review and suggest modifications to existing agreements for compliance.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to guarantee Ukio’s protection.
- Ensure compliance with corporate bylaws and provide assistance in future capital raises.
- Guarantee protection of the Ukio brand and IP.
- Aid in tax efforts.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of experience in general legal counsel.
- Have the degree in legal.
- Can understand all legal implications for a company, you are not a specialist
- Have good negotiating skills
- Can prioritize well and organize your work
- Are rigorous, organized and pay extreme attention to detail
- Fluent level of English and Spanish both written and spoken
- Value learning more than thinking you know it all
- You are proactive and can be autonomous in finding new ways to provide value
- Flexible, resilient and content with ambiguity and changes.
- Confident with working in cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable performing in a start-up environment.
