About the role
- Work closely with your global legal team members and partner with FunPlus business teams in our Western markets to manage, negotiate, and execute a wide range of commercial and corporate agreements.
- Support the management of our IP portfolio, IP matters and compliance, and related projects, primarily focused on our Western entities and markets.
- Proactively manage the day-to-day operational, contractual, and IP needs of our Western entities and studios in Western markets.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and provide both operational and strategic legal counsel on risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Ensure that all agreements, operations, and business activities are conducted in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal corporate policies and processes.
Requirements
- Fluent command of English (written and spoken).
- 5–8 years of experience in a comparable commercial legal function, preferably within the gaming, media, or tech industries.
- Master’s degree in Law from a reputable European, UK, or US university.
- Strong service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build effective relationships across diverse cultures and functions.
- Ability to simplify complex legal and business issues into clear, actionable advice and manage complex projects and negotiations while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external advisors.
- Proven capacity to quickly research and assess novel legal issues, focusing on practical, business-oriented solutions while managing legal risk.
- Strong interest in and understanding of legal issues affecting technology and gaming companies.
- Organized, tech-savvy, self-driven, curious, and resilient, with high integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
- A team-oriented, creative thinker with a sense of humor who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.
